The exhibition was originally on March 26th. In its original conception, the exhibition at CC Foundation was a coordinate anchored by one contingency (or some), "something might happen here", but you don't know what will happen or when it will happen.
Before March 26th, Shanghai, as a highly urbanized modern city, has been providing its residents with an increasingly strong sense of security and certainty. That is why we came up with this mischievous idea - to offer a tense environment and state, a spatial experience that is lacking in the modern metropolis. "When curiosity and emptiness are out of balance, contingency is ready to strike at any moment." So we wrote in the exhibition information at the time.
Then reality struck our raid plan. When we reopen this exhibition, it is no longer the case that a spatial coordinate is located at CC foundation, but rather a temporal one set by 26th March. It records our imagination of the city is still conservative and naïve. Modern urban life is still vulnerable at any time that an open and well-connected city can be easily deconstructed and cut into fragments and confrontational parts. Queuing, logically a competition for urban living resources should be widely accessible, but generally, they are still all on the same route. The fences that were completed before March 26th still have to be used, but they just shouldn't surround you anymore.《WGNSNBGBRSWG 3.26》
