梵几 – 管中窥豹 FNJI – Seeing through the Hole

管中窥豹,是“DevolutioN 退化建筑梵几”2017年设计上海提供的一种观看方法。

作为近几年来备受关注的中国原创家居品牌,东方的、木作的、文艺的成为梵几的风格标签,遮盖了它开放、多元并珍视品质的内核。正是这一内核催生了此次梵几与 Frank Chou Design Studio 的合作,他们希望通过一系列具有当代性,且蕴含崭新东方意识形态的作品,将梵几精神延续,开启梵几品牌踏向未来的序幕

Seeing through the hole, is a method which DevolutioN studio designed for FNJI exhibition in Design Shanghai 2017. Being a popular original design furniture brand for recent years, “oriental, wood made, literary” becomesFNJI icon.FNJI would like to break homogeneous stereotype and want to emphasized its core spirit of open, pluralistic and qualified. For bringing about the core,FNJI cooperates with Frank Chou Design Studio, they plan to design a series of oriental ideology works to extendFNJI Spirit, and open the future world forFNJI brand.

因此在这次展览中,除了梵几本线系列的代表家具、实木结合软包布艺的设计新品,更有注入了梵几对时尚、科技与未来家具趋势观察与判断的全新系列。

Thus, fnji not only presents their original furniture series, but also exhibits a brand new series of design works representing new fashion, new technology and perspective on future.

管中窥豹正是基于本线与新系列并置的一种观看。在空间上提供一种局部视角,让人对这个已被熟知的家居品牌产生新好奇。这个5*6m的展位空间被我们切割成不同平面,像一个平面层次的透叠。人在展位外,透过橱窗看见家具的局部线条。进入展位后, 在不同空间尺度中走、看、坐,从每个平面的开口窥探下一个空间,然后返回展位外重新观望橱窗。其中穿插着平面与空间;看与坐;审美与使用的关系。本线系列与新系列则糅合在这些关系和色彩中。

Seeing through the hole is a new perspective which appreciates fnji original and new series together. The pavilion provides a partial perspective through the space, which arouses people’s curiosity. We set up a series of 2D plans to form a 3D space. We divided the 5*6m exhibition into several sections, the whole visit will pass through different sections one by one. When people pass by or look the pavilion from outside, they can see partial curves of the furniture exhibiting inside the pavilion through the hole. After they step into the exhibition, they can walk, see or sit in spaces of different scales. As visiting process, they can see part of next space through the different shapes of open holes. After finishing the visit, they see the whole pavilion again. Plans  intersects with space; people can see or sit; aesthetics is designed with function. The original series and new series is fused in the colors and spaces of the pavilion.

在展览现场,这个封闭式的空间区别于其他展位。因动线需求对参观人数进行限定,进一步激发了窥探欲,形成排队入场的局面。

In the exhibition, the closed pavilion of fnji is different from other pavilions. The visitors would be limited at one time because of the space movement limit, which situation arouses more of people’s curiosity, and results in queuing to visit.

除了空间设计,视觉诠释也是观看的组成部分。我们在展位中放置了 退化建筑 梵几做的一个轻巧的单词卡视频,增加了观看的趣味性。管中窥豹实际上是 退化建筑 商业案工作方法的一个初步体现。基于对商业对象的充分了解对其重新认识,在概念、视觉、空间上提供一个整体的新视角和方法,再加入一丁点儿幽默,将是 退化建筑 与其他设计机构最大的不同。

Except space design, visual design is another perspective to see. We put a video specially design for FNJI. Seeing through the hole is a way in which Devolution Studio approaches to commercial design. We reconsider more about the product and culture of our client. In turns of design concept, visual and space, we provide new perspective and method of design with humor, which makes us different from other design studios.
